Mittagong Hockey Club junior umpire shirts
We provide ongoing sponsorship for the Junior Umpire Program. This was started by Ladies Behind the Tradies and our bookkeeper Whitney Smith. We set up the program to encourage junior members to start and learn umpiring. We also provide shirts and equipment for the empires. We are proud to say this has included the development of local children including to the point where they are asked to referee as a part of the finals. Whitney also gives her time as Secretary of the Mittagong Hockey Club and the Treasurer for the Southern Highlands Hockey Association.
As part of our contribution to the local community we volunteer our services to The Woodlands Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade. Aside from ongoing general bookkeeping and administration, we have assisted the not for profit to introduce a paperless bookkeeping system and assisted with the implementation of an online credit card donation payment system.
The team at Ladies Behind The Tradies attend and participate in various local volunteer and charity events, and support both state and national charities on their awareness days. In addition, we are and have been active members of numerous community sporting organisations and not for profit education centres as coaches, sponsors, and board members.
